Our Handmade Products

Our products are all handmade by artisans in Thailand and Nepal.  Because of this, there will often be slight variations in color, texture, material and size.  These do not constitute defects.  Handwoven materials will always look different to those woven by machine, and this is part of their beauty.

Brushed Wool

Our brushed wool products may exhibit some variations in texture, weave and color. Wool is a natural fiber and our products are hand-woven in Nepal, then brushed to bring all loose fibers to the surface, making them so soft. We recommend using a wool brush to even out any variations on the surface of the product. Some pilling, variation in color, or loose threads do not constitute defects.

Leather Products

Our handmade leather products are made from naturally cured water buffalo hide in Southern Nepal.  No chemicals are introduced in the process.  Color variations may be found due to the natural oils in the leather.  Wipe the leather with a soft cloth to remove any marks.  Frequent use will soften the leather and bring out the natural glow of the product.

Hill Tribe Silver

Our Thai tribal silver products are made by the Karen tribe in Northern Thailand.  Karen Hill Tribe Silver has a higher silver content than sterling silver, making the pieces softer and easier to shape.  The pieces are distinctive, often showing hammer marks and slight design variations.  Sterling silver has a silver content of 92.5% (often marked as 925), whilst tribal silver usually has a silver content of 95-99%, making it slightly lighter in color.
